The fact that the bible continues to change thousands of lives around the world in positive, tangible ways displays another clear proof of its inspiration by the Holy Spirit.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
Just as food nourishes our bodies, Gods word (bible) brings nourishment to our spirit.
Jesus said, we shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (bible) Matthew 4:4

We were created in the image of God and God is a spirit. We are spirits that live in bodies. We need to feed our spirit with the bible (Gods word).
God's word is spirit and life, as we feed our spirit more than our body, our spirits will become stronger and more in tune to God.
When you receive the message of God and welcome it not as the word of (mere) men but as it truly is, the word of God, which is effectually at work in you who believe (exercising its superhuman power) in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 Amplified bible
Using God's word daily will allow it to work in our lives. Just as we need food daily, our spirit needs the word of God daily. Otherwise, we will grow weak, and not think clearly.
We were created to have fellowship with the spirit of the living God through Jesus Christ. That’s why no one else and nothing else can satisfy our spirit.
But as many as did receive him and welcome him, he gave the authority (power, privilege and right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in ( adhere to, trust in, rely on) his name. John 1:12 Amplified bible
If any person is in Christ he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17 Amplified bible
Our spirits are made new when we receive Christ but our minds do not change.
That's why we need to read God's word to renew our minds. Through reading the word, our minds will be changed to think differently. It will change our whole outlook. As the word gets down into our hearts it transforms our lives.
The author of Psalm 119 wrote, I have hidden your word in my heart that I may not sin against you. David knew the importance of keeping a regular supply of God's word in his heart would help him to stay on the right path. The more we dwell on a thought, the more apt we are to act on it. That is why we need to dwell on God's word, so we will act on it instead of words or thoughts that would be contradictive.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve of what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
God alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
Matthew 7:24-27 “24. Whoever hears these words and acts upon them (obeying them) will be a sensible (prudent practical and wise) person who built his house upon a rock.25. And the rain and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house’ yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish person who built his house upon the sand. 27. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great and complete was the fall of it.
There’s no power on this earth that can stand against God word. Build your house on the rock and it will stand!
